1969年にファーストアルバム「Santana」をリリースし、「Black Magic Woman」、「Smooth」、「Maria Maria」などのヒットシングルを持つ、ギターリストのカルロス・サンタナが率いるバンド、サンタナ。
そのサンタナが、1999年にリリースして世界で2500万枚のセールスを記録し、グラミー賞を9部門受賞した大ヒットアルバム「Supernatural」の発売20周年を記念して、この夏、北米にて「Miraculous Supernatural 2020 Tour」の開催します。
今回のツアーは、1971年にファーストアルバム「Earth, Wind & Fire」をリリースし、「September」、「Boogie Wonderland」、「Let's Groove」などのヒットシングルを持つファンク・バンド、アース・ウィンド・アンド・ファイアーとのジョイントツアーとなります。
共に約50年のキャリアがあり、日本でも人気があって幾度もの来日公演を行っているこの両アーティストを一度に観る事が出来るツアーが開催されます。
世界中でコロナウィルスの影響が出ており、アメリカでも多くのライブやフェスが中止や延期となっておりますが、夏までにはコロナが終息し、無事にこのライブが開催されることを願いたいと思います。
